Assessments and Evaluations

Baseline Health Assessments

BAC offer a selection of both health and physical (musculo-skeletal) assessments to industry. These assessments are designed to suit the specific needs of a client. The assessments look at lifestyle history, heart rate, blood pressure, body composition, (BMI/Hip to waist ratio), posture, as well as fitness levels. Assessments use world’s best practises, are evidence-based and utilise the best technologies currently available. All information remains confidential and is managed in line with the current Privacy Legislation.

Pre-Employment Functional Assessments

Using a series of information collection and assessment processes BAC works with its various clients, to develop purposely built pre-employment functional assessments and return to work assessment protocols. These assessments are designed to ensure that individuals are physically capable to perform in a given work position or return to a work position following recovery from a musculo-skeletal injury.

Musculo-Skeletal Task Analysis

Determine the risk of a manual handling sprain and strain injury for a specific task. BAC uses a series of 3 processes to determine this, resulting in a musculo-skeletal risk registry. This registry, read in conjunction with a work task standard operating procedure, alerts individuals to the risk while providing interventions to avoid injury.

Ergonomic Evaluation

Using principles of biomechanics, kinesiology, and physiology, the Accredited Exercise Physiologists at BAC are able to evaluate the interface between man and the workplace. This ability provides employers with the opportunity to have specific aspects of the operations evaluated for injury risk and to be provided with recommendations on to how to reduce this risk.
